He's actually lived in that lake for the last 4 months. He is able to travel to other lakes and the marsh area behind our development via large culverts under the roads. He mainly stays in the middle of the lake so noboby really bothers him. This is why I live in Florida, I think these creatures are quite interesting.

About the biggest excitement we had around my house critter-wise was a large black snake in our utility building last summer. It was going in there to feast on all the crickets. I haven't seen any crickets this year either so I'm just waiting for the snake to make his presence known. Or he just ate them all last year before they could lay eggs. -- Home of the Old 96er.
